• 1961 - The first boat was named after a member of the Duke of Westminster's family.
  • 1969 - The Club’s centenary year, the Duke of Westminster presented the Club with a silver replica of the ‘Admiral of the Dee regalia’ oar, this is worn by the club chairman on special occasions.
  • 1973 - Women were permitted to become fully fledged members of Grosvenor Rowing Club.
  • 1979 - Sheila Barrett became Grosvenor RC Captain, she became the first woman in the country to captain a rowing club for both men and women.
